COACH'S BIO: MEGAN MCKINLEY
The Ohio State University Synchronized Skating Team is proud to welcome back Head coach, Megan McKinley. A Miami University alumnae, McKinley brings 20 years of figure and synchronized skating experience and 13 years of coaching experience to her position. Megan has trained with Frank Carroll alongside Michelle Kwan, and she has shared the spotlight with skating greats such as Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi and Brian Boitano. During her three years with the Miami University Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team, McKinley helped lead the team and was decorated with the team’s Outstanding Skater Award. As a graduate student, she served as the Assistant Director of Figure Skating at Goggin Ice Arena at Miami University. McKinley earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Miami University in May 2003 and her Masters Degree in Sport Studies from Miami University in August 2006. During the inaugural 2008-2009 competitive season, McKinley coached the team to a bronze medal finish at the Mid-America Synchronized Skating Championships.
